Start With Hoops currently publishes under an organization byline. The site owner makes the final publication decision and is accountable for corrections, privacy requests, and commercial disclosures. The owner has not supplied a personal name, coaching history, playing background, or professional credential for public use. We therefore do not imply that any of those facts exist.
The accountable role. Personal identity and qualifications remain undisclosed until verified facts are supplied.
Questions, factual corrections, privacy requests, and on-record responses are routed through one documented channel.
How we build a guide
We start with a specific beginner question and use a desk-review workflow. We separate rules from coaching cues, keep league differences visible, link primary sources where exact facts matter, and add a practice step with a measurable result. For the priority guides, we also publish a guide-specific note explaining what we checked and what the page cannot establish.
Our original court boards and sequence diagrams are built as teaching summaries of the accompanying text. They are not copied playbook pages, and they are not presented as evidence that a named athlete completed the drill.
What we review before publication

- Whether each progression has a clear start, one manageable change, and a stop or reset condition.
- Whether a beginner can record the proposed score consistently.
- Whether league-specific rules and current primary references are identified.
- Whether health, injury, or performance language overstates what general education can provide.
- Whether advertising and commercial relationships are separated from editorial conclusions.
Corrections and revision records
Rules and recommendations change. Priority articles show a visible revision history, and their metadata and sitemap date move when a meaningful editorial revision is published. Formatting-only changes do not need to be represented as new basketball advice.
